I focus my volunteer efforts on supporting children, education, and my community.
The foundation honors Dorian De Long through scholarships and grants for young people in the arts and music. I serve on the board and help run its fundraising events.
The foundation has awarded scholarships to 14 students pursuing arts and music degrees in Colorado, along with multiple grants to high school and elementary arts programs throughout Colorado.
Punk Is Dad is Denver’s annual benefit show for the foundation. I’ve run nine events, handling the lineup, venue, sponsors, and promotion.
Through Punk Is Dad, we have raised more than $30,000 to support the Dorian De Long Arts & Music Education Foundation.
I meet weekly one-on-one with a student. TeamMates, co-founded by Tom Osborne, pairs mentors with students from 3rd grade through graduation.
I volunteered with Junior Achievement of the Midlands, the Omaha-based nonprofit that brings volunteer-led learning experiences to elementary, middle, and high school students. I provided classroom-based financial literacy education for 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 8th grade students.
I served on Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska’s annual United Way campaign committee and chaired its fundraising events from 2013 to 2017.
We raised more than $100,000.
I coached youth baseball, basketball, and soccer.
